And I have it... Sin City DVD in my hands now.
PROS: After watching it, I can say that the picture and sound quality is some of the best I've ever seen on DVD. It's amazingly crisp and clean and presented in 5.1 and DTS audio. Also, the slip covers are quite sharp looking. Overall, a nice looking addition to my DVD collection.
CONS: The bad news, is it's a barebones disc with no, I mean NO extras. However, there is a 2-3 disc Director's/Extended/Special Cut of the film with boat loads of extras rumored for a December/January release.
So, the bottom line: ONLY buy this DVD if you loved the film at least half as much as me, otherwise I'd hold my money for the big version. -Angus

Ladies and Gents... I now have the "big version" of Sin City, and all I can say is WOW!
Sin City: Recut, Extended, Unrated (2-disc) is God among DVDs, and is well worth the price tag in my opinion.
Included extras: -Available Audio Tracks: English (Dolby Digital 5.1), English (DTS 5.1) -Commentary by: Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller -Commentary by: Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino -Recut and extended theatrical release with over 20 minutes of additional footage- separated into four stories -Original theatrical release including: -All-new feature commentary with Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller -All-new feature commentary with Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino -An audio track featuring a recording of the Austin premiere audience reaction -Exclusive never-before-seen extras: -15-minute film school with Robert Rodriguez -The movie in high-speed green screen -The Long Take: 17 uninterrupted minutes of Tarantino's segment -Sin City Night at Antones -- filmmakers, cast and crew party -10-minute cooking school with Robert Rodriguez -A Teaser & Theatrical Trailer -A Hard Top With a Decent Engine: The cars of Sin City -Making the Monsters: Special effects make-up -Trench Coats & Fishnets: The costumes of Sin City -Booze, Broads & Guns: The props of Sin City -How it Went Down: Convincing Frank Miller to make the film -Giving the Characters Life: Casting the film -Special guest director: Quentin Tarantino -Sin-Chroni-City interactive game -and the mini-sized, yet complete graphic novel "The Hard Goodbye" which was the original Sin City yarn and Marv's segment of the film.
Bottom Line, The new edition of Sin City easily makes the earlier single-disc theatrical-cut release obsolete by including the regular theatrical cut on the first disc, recutting the movie into four extended segments on the second disc. Then there is also the extessive load of bonus features that are heaven for any big Frank Miller/Sin City fan. This is a must for anyone who loves the movie half as much as I do. (4/4 Stars ****) -Angus

Fuck, I got it from "Santa" in my stocking. Has a shitload of extras, my God. I haven't gotten the chance to watch any of it yet though. The only DVD player correctly connected is my parent's and I hafta wait till they're gone to watch it.
